John and Di live in the Kent countryside, in the south-east of England, and breed only Rottweilers. They have three grandchildren.
Di was born in London and educated at Pitmans College. After moving to Kent she took employment as Typist with the Kent Police where she served for 13 years, completing her service as Personal Secretary to the Assistant Chief Constable. It was during this time she met and married John McCann. |
| John was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to live in England in the late 1960`s. He served as a Police Officer in Glasgow and Kent, retiring as Detective Inspector after 30 years. Most of his time was on CID and he was, at one time, Head of Detective Training in Kent; enjoying teaching Criminal Law. John is retired from his job as Senior Fraud Investigator and Intelligence Manager for a national insurance investigation company. He now spends his time playing golf, reading and helping Di with the dogs. |

Di and John have owned Rottweilers since 1986. They take the trouble to help introduce newcomers to the breed and invite them to their home to meet their dogs to learn about the unique character of the Rottweiler, which helps them decide whether this is really the right breed for them.
